I buy from here from time to time as they have some favourite wines that it's difficult to source elsewhere. Acceptable prices and well packaged. My only reason for not giving five stars is that the delivery date never is the date given at check-out. Always a few days later. So take the delivery date with a pinch of salt.

Díky své dlouhé tradici výroby vína a průkopnickému duchu se Bodegas Valdemar v roce 2019 pustilo do nového dobrodružství a založilo Valdemar Estates ve státě Washington v USA. Zde Jesús a Ana Martínez Bujanda produkují prémiová vína, která odrážejí potenciál terroiru údolí Walla Walla.

Hrozny Cabernet Sauvignon (s malým přídavkem Petit Verdot a Merlot) pocházejí z vinice Eventide, jedné z nejdůležitějších ve Valdemar Estates. Zde svah, nadmořská výška (mezi 270 a 380 metry) a severovýchodní expozice vytvářejí jedinečné podmínky, které napomáhají produkci živých a koncentrovaných vín (také díky nízkým výnosům). Po sklizni a vinifikaci zraje hotové víno ve francouzských dubových sudech (22 % nových) přibližně rok a půl.

Výsledkem je expresivní a charakteristické víno s voňavým aromatickým profilem, který kombinuje tóny černých třešní, ostružin a sušených fíků, následované zemitými a čajovými aroma. Na patře je velkorysé, bohaté a koncentrované, s plným tělem a pevnými taniny. Má živou kyselost a dlouhý závěr, který připomíná lehké tóny tabáku a cedru. Vyzkoušejte ho s hovězím hrudím a grilovaným červeným masem.
