A Birthday to Remember with DAOU & Colomé Celebrating my mother’s birthday was made even more special thanks to two incredible wines—DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 and Colomé Auténtico Malbec 2020. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon. From the first sip, it enveloped us in its rich, velvety embrace. The deep dark fruit flavors, hints of cocoa, and perfectly balanced oak made every glass feel like a true indulgence. It was bold yet elegant, a wine that effortlessly brought warmth and joy to our gathering. Seeing my mother savor each sip with a smile made it all the more memorable. The Colomé Auténtico Malbec also delivered beautifully, with its pure expression of high-altitude Malbec. It was powerful, with ripe blackberries, spice, and a smooth, lingering finish—an excellent complement to the evening. These wines didn’t just enhance our meal; they became part of the celebration, elevating every toast and conversation. A heartfelt thank you to DAOU and Colomé for making this special occasion truly unforgettable!

    Lze skladovat ve sklepě po dobu 15 let. Není třeba dekantovat, ale nejlepší je otevřít ho půl hodiny před podáváním.

    Alain Chavy pochází z rodiny s dvousetletou vinařskou tradicí v Puligny-Montrachet a své vinařství založil v roce 2003 poté, co si s bratrem Jeanem Louisem rozdělili rodinné vinice. Dnes se Domaine Alain Chavy rozkládá na přibližně 10 hektarech vinic v překrásné apelaci Puligny v srdci Burgundska. Alaina nyní ve vinařství podporuje jeho syn Corentin.

    Hrozny Chardonnay se vybírají z 8 různých parcel, které se nacházejí v obci Puligny. Sklízí se ručně a vinifikace je nenáročná. Dvě třetiny hotového vína leží v sudech o objemu 228 litrů a zbytek ve větších sudech o objemu 400 litrů. Cílem je vyrobit bohaté víno, které vyjadřuje terroir Puligny.

    Puligny-Montrachet Les 8 Climats je elegantní a charakterní víno, které odhaluje široký a zralý aromatický profil s tóny žlutých jablek, kdoulí a hrušek a nádechem medu. V chuti je svěží a minerální, bohaté a zakulacené. Je to velmi vyvážené a výrazné víno s ostrou kyselinkou a dlouhým, osvěžujícím závěrem. Je ideální k hřebenatkám nebo pečeným bílým rybám.
