The story of Mauro Molino estate begins back in the late 1970s when Mauro inherited land from his father in La Morra in Piedmont. Here he put into practice what he had learned at enology school and by working for a winery in Emilia Romagna, and was later joined in the company by his son, Matteo, and his daughter, Martina. Today the family works a total of 12 hectares of vineyards which are largely dedicated to the region’s leading red wines made with Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto.

The family also produce smaller amounts of Arneis which is widely recognised as Piedmont’s star white wine variety. To express the pure varietal character of the Arneis, Mauro carefully harvests his grapes by hand before they undergo a short maceration. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled low temperatures.

This careful attention to detail and the Molino family’s boundless passion for making wine has created a handsome white wine which exudes intoxicating aromas of lemon zest, green apples and delicate white flowers. The first sip reveals mouthwatering freshness, subtle hints of minerality and intense citrus, white peach and almond flavours. Thanks to the generous acidity and robust fruit flavours, this is an ideal wine to enjoy alongside a cheese and charcuterie platter or a selection of Italian-style antipasti.
