    Argentinská vína

    Vinařství do Argentiny přinesli evropští osadníci v roce 1500 a dnes je Argentina největším výrobcem vína v Jižní Americe. Argentinská vína mají pověst cenově dostupných a kvalitních vín, přičemž dobrá argentinská vína jsou k dispozici pro všechny finanční skupiny. Léta bývají horká a suchá a zavlažování zajišťuje tající sníh z And. Díky tomu vznikají bohatá a opulentní červená vína a ovocná bílá vína, která jsou oblíbená po celém světě.

    Klíčové argentinské vinařské oblasti

    Argentinské vinařské oblasti se nacházejí na západě země, v blízkosti majestátních And, které se táhnou podél celé země. Na vyprahlém severu se nachází Salta, která je domovem mnoha nejvýše položených vinic na světě nacházejících se v nadmořské výšce až 3 000 metrů. Nejvýznamnější argentinskou vinařskou oblastí je Mendoza na jih od Salty, kde se nachází prestižní podoblast Údolí Uco. Mnohem jižněji leží větrná a odlehlá Patagonie, která je považována za novou hranici pro špičkové argentinské vinařské značky.

    Argentinské odrůdy hroznů

    Argentinská vína jsou silně ovlivněna evropským dědictvím země, kam první osadníci přivezli francouzské a italské odrůdy révy. Nejznámější argentinskou odrůdou je argentinský Malbec, který dominuje na vinicích v Mendoze a skvěle se hodí k ikonickým steakům a grilovaným masům. Salta je známá svými pozoruhodně aromatickými a květinovými vysokohorskými bílými víny z odrůdy Torrontes. Mezi další klíčové argentinské odrůdy patří Cabernet Sauvignon, Bonarda a Merlot pro červená vína a Chardonnay a Sauvignon Blanc pro bílá.
