    Novozélandská vína

    Ačkoli se vinařství na Novém Zélandu rozmohlo teprve v polovině 20. století, dnes má země pověst špičkového Sauvignon Blanc a Pinot Noir, což z nich činí nejoblíbenější novozélandská vína online. Pro Nový Zéland jsou charakterističtí především malí a střední řemeslní výrobci, přičemž přibližně 90 % národní produkce je určeno na vývoz.

    Klíčové vinařské oblasti Nového Zélandu

    Nový Zéland je domovem nejjižněji položených vinic na světě ve Středním Otagu na Jižním ostrově, kde se pěstuje výjimečné Pinot Noir s chladným podnebím. Terroir se v celé zemi značně liší, přičemž nejsevernější vinařská oblast Northland se těší teplým a vlhkým létům. K nejznámějším vinařským oblastem země patří Marlborough, proslulé svým Sauvignon Blanc, Hawke's Bay a Gisborne, které je známé svým aromatickým Chardonnay.

    Novozélandské odrůdy hroznů

    Na novozélandských vinicích se nejčastěji pěstuje Sauvignon Blanc, který tvoří přibližně 70 % celkové produkce země. Klasické exempláře jsou intenzivní a aromatické s výraznými tóny angreštu, mučenky a čerstvě posečené trávy. Na druhém místě je Pinot Noir, který se pěstuje v chladnějších jižních oblastech, jako je Marlborough, Central Otago a Canterbury. Obzvláště dobře se hodí k pečenému jehněčímu, klasickému novozélandskému pokrmu. Mezi další oblíbené odrůdy patří Riesling a Chardonnay pro bílá vína a Merlot a Cabernet Sauvignon pro červené směsi.
