Ve sklepě vydrží až 15 let. Před podáváním 1 hodinu dekantujte. Purple Angel znamená, že Montes se stal světovou značkou. Poprvé bylo uvedeno na trh v roce 2005 a jeho popularita vynesla tuto 100% chilskou značku na mezinárodní mapu. Je odvážné a zároveň přístupné, připravené hned a vhodné ke zrání. Purple Angel se skládá z 92 % z odrůdy Carmenere a 8 % z odrůdy Petit Verdot z vinic Finca de Apalta a El Arcángel de Marchigüe v údolí Colchagua. Půdy jsou žulového původu, mají různou strukturu a vyznačují se přítomností různých typů říčních a ledovcových kamenů. Toto středně plné víno má ve sklenici sytě fialovou barvu s granátovými odlesky. V ústech je objemné a obsahuje střední třísloviny a skvělou strukturu. Ovocná vůně je zprvu baculatá - ostružiny a borůvky - poté hutná a koncentrovaná - sušené švestky, višňové zavařeniny a bonbony z černého rybízu. Po 18 měsících francouzského ležení se objevují toastové tóny, oříšková chuť a sladké koření. Chuť navazuje na vůně tmavého ovoce, než se objeví kůže, kakao a balzamiko. Toto víno spárujte s drůbeží nebo naprosto čímkoli, co se točí kolem vepřového tuku - lardo, uzeniny, žebírka atd. Dobře se hodí také ke zrajícím sýrům, krémovému rizotu nebo carbonaru.
