Although a good variety of wines, i ordered a 2016 Saint emillion and i received a 2017 one from the same chateau. It was wrong information on the stock availability on the website. I contacted them and they accepted to correct the mistake and offerrede alternatives of different wines or refund and picking up the wonrgly delivered bottle. As a first experience it was not one of the most positive but again these things can happen

Tato průrazná směs ve stylu Bordeaux nese jméno Diany Cullen, která je spolu se svým manželem Kevinem považována za jednoho z nejvýznamnějších průkopnických vinařů v oblasti Margaret River. Manželé založili Cullen Wines v roce 1971 a jako první začali experimentovat s výsadbou Cabernetu Sauvignon v oblasti Wilyabrup. Dnes panství vede dcera manželů Vanya, která byla v roce 2019 vyhlášena "Vinařkou roku" v rámci Australian Women in Wine Awards a Halliday Wine Companion Awards.

V posledních letech přešlo panství na biodynamické zemědělství, aby produkovalo to nejlepší možné ovoce. Toto červené víno je složeno převážně z odrůdy Cabernet Sauvignon spolu s příměsí Merlotu a Petit Verdot vysazených na žulových a štěrkových půdách. Vinná réva Cabernet použitá pro toto lahvování byla vysazena v roce 1971 a dává velmi koncentrované hrozny s množstvím pevných tříslovin a hlubokou chutí.

Hrozny se sklízejí ručně a fermentují pomocí divokých kvasinek, přičemž zrají 14 měsíců v sudech z francouzského dubu. Ve vůni se objevují všechny klasické tóny cabernetu Wilyabrup - hořká čokoláda, sušené fialky a pečená zemina vrstvená s cassis a tmavými třešněmi. Díky robustnímu plnému tělu a dobře stavěné struktuře se toto víno skvěle hodí k červeným masům a ve sklepě bude elegantně stárnout i v příštích zhruba deseti letech.
