UPS was horrible. First they announced the expected delivery and then they kept my wife waiting entire day and in the end did NOT deliver without any notice (!). The next morning only they advised the changed expected delivery date (!) and this time it was successful. The whole day waisted, no chance to call the courier. Awful experience! Arrogant bastards.

Historie

Vinařství Whitehaven bylo založeno v roce 1994 v oblasti Marlborough na Novém Zélandu rodinou Whiteových. Vzniklo realizací vize vytvořit rozpoznatelné, respektované a úspěšné vinařství založené na étosu výroby nejkvalitnějších dostupných vín.

Dnes společnost vede Sue Whiteová se svým týmem, který vyrábí jednoodrůdová vína špičkové kvality nabízející sofistikovanou eleganci, jež jsou dnes uznávána po celém světě.

Filozofií společnosti je "kvalita bez kompromisů" a tato zásada provází celý proces, od minimálních zásahů při pěstování hroznů, přes samotné procesy výroby vína až po zrání a lahvování.

Whitehaven jsou na svá vína a kvalitu spojenou s jejich jménem velmi hrdí. Jsou vnímáni jako vyslanci Marlborough a jsou rádi, že mohou trvale a poctivě poskytovat vysoce kvalitní vína.

Jako součást jedné z nejuznávanějších a nejikoničtějších pěstitelských oblastí na světě bylo Marlborough pro společnost Whitehaven ideálním místem. Chladné podnebí vyvážené dlouhými hodinami slunečního svitu dává hroznům delší čas na dosažení optimální zralosti, a tím se rozvíjí koncentrované chutě, které lze rozvinout do fantastických vín. Pečlivě vybírají ty správné hrozny správné kvality a zároveň dbají na to, aby se v jejich vínech používaly pouze hrozny z Marlborough.
