Chateau Carbonnieux
Historie
Jméno Carbonnieux údajně pochází od rodiny zvané "Carbonius" nebo Carbonnieu, která na počátku 13. století vyklízela a obdělávala půdu poblíž Léognanu. Jméno Ramon Carbonnieu, majitel vinic v Léognanu v roce 1234, je skutečně uvedeno v archivech v Bordeaux. V roce 1956 získal zámek Marc Perrin, který byl v roce 1959 zařazen do kategorie červené a bílé. Dnes jsou to Eric a Philibert, jeho vnuci, kteří převzali, aby navázali na své dílo Antony.

Zajímavá fakta
Chateau Carbonnieux je jedno z nejstarších panství v Bordeaux, jehož počátky sahají nejméně do 12. století. Své jméno nese po rodině Carbonnieux, která vlastnila pozemek v roce 1234 a vyráběla víno pro bohoslužby. Dnes je to také jedno z největších panství v Pessac-Leognan s přibližně 92 hektary vinic rovnoměrně rozdělených mezi černé a bílé odrůdy.

overall i had a positive experience, they have a wide range of wines, some which are hard to find anywhere else - the main reason i still buy from them, plus the discounts are fair and often, but... their codes for the first offer only works at the first offer, which if fine, but then why would you send me the voucher in each package i order, why spam me on the email and every time i log in on the website? this is really bothering me... then their rewards points system is useless, first of all because you only get peanuts even after spending €250 on an order, but even those peanuts will expire if you won't order again soon, which is unfair, to say the least... and lastly, if you get a corked wine, a wine with any deffect or a wine that leaked (my last order contained a bottle of $100 Caymus Cabernet with a leaking cork, which made the wine tasted cooked and flat), they have no procedure put in place for you to replace or return the wine or to get a refund or replacement - none, which is a big no no no for any wine collector... so all in all i give it 3 stars for now
